The third course passes Wahroonga Avenue and goes another kilometre or so along Junction Road, down to a left turn into Coonanbarra Road, grinding up the hill before turning left into Burns and a very steep climb. It was on this hill, that a certain gorgeous and absolutely stunning Trottette (yes, the site has been cleaned up, and the unintentional offensive remarks removed) traditionally used to lead a contingent of “Dad’s Army” ( including some “burglars” ) up the incline.
For some unknown reason, it was always hard to pass here.
Then there is a beautiful stretch down this magnificent and beautiful, tree lined avenue of outrageously decadent real estate to the lights again at Eastern, and back to Turramurra. This is about 10.4 kms and we run this course for the next 6 weeks.
